Developer and license
Amano is provided by Daniel Garcia. For support or questions about these terms, email dani@getamano.app. The app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These product terms explain Amano’s features and purchases and do not replace that license or reduce mandatory consumer rights.
Free and Unlimited
The free tier allows up to three document records and does not include folders. A document with multiple pages or attachments counts as one record. Archived documents count toward the limit; Recently Deleted documents do not.
Amano Unlimited is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited document records, folders with one level of subfolders and color labels, a renewal overview and reminders, reusable document packs, watermarked PDF and image copies, and suggested document names and expiry dates. There is no subscription or recurring fee for this purchase. “Unlimited” removes the app’s document-count limit; storage remains subject to the capacity of your device.
The purchase covers the Unlimited features described at checkout. It does not include a promise of future family-sharing features, third-party storage, or indefinite cloud-service availability.
Contact cards and copies
Contact cards and Lock Screen Event mode are available without Unlimited. Only include information you intend to share. Starting Event mode makes the selected contact details and QR code visible on the Lock Screen until you stop it or the activity ends. Shared contact files and copies saved by recipients cannot be recalled.
Watermarks indicate the intended use of exported copies. They are not access controls and cannot prevent copying, editing or removal. Watermarked copies are generated separately; your originals remain unchanged.
Payment, restoration and refunds
The App Store displays the applicable local price before you confirm payment and charges your Apple Account. RevenueCat helps validate the transaction and unlock access. Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that made the purchase to recover the entitlement; restoring a purchase does not restore document files.
Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled through Apple’s refund process. Eligibility depends on the circumstances and applicable law. A refunded or revoked purchase may remove Unlimited access. Nothing here excludes your statutory cancellation, refund or conformity rights.
Your documents and responsibilities
You retain rights to your documents. Only store or share material you are entitled to use, including documents belonging to another person. Exporting a document sends a copy to your chosen recipient or service; Amano cannot recall those copies.
Amano is an organizational tool, not an official identity credential, certified archive or source of legal advice. A scan may not replace an original document. Check extracted text and dates yourself, and do not rely solely on expiry reminders for important deadlines.
Storage and backups
The vault is stored encrypted on your device. Keep independent copies of important originals. The public release does not provide automatic document sync or an iCloud backup interface. Experimental snapshots in development builds depend on Apple’s services; replacement-device recovery has not been verified.
Recently Deleted remains recoverable and does not automatically erase documents. Deleting local records does not remove separate source files, exported copies or old iCloud backups. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
Availability and changes
Features may depend on compatible Apple hardware, iOS versions, permissions and third-party services. We may update the app to improve it or meet technical and legal requirements. Any changes remain subject to applicable consumer law and rights relating to your purchase. Future terms will show a revised effective date and material changes will be communicated where required.
