Amano is a personal place for the documents you want within reach.
Developer and license
Amano is provided by Daniel Garcia. For support or questions about these terms, email dani@getamano.app. The app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These product terms explain Amano’s features and purchases and do not replace that license or reduce mandatory consumer rights.
Trial and purchase from the trial release
New customers receive full access to Amano for seven days, with no document or folder limits. After the trial, saved documents remain viewable and exportable as plain copies, and extracted details remain available to copy. Adding documents, marked copies and the other Unlimited features requires a one-time purchase.
You can unlock Amano before, during or after the trial. The payment is one-time: there is no subscription or automatic charge. The App Store shows the applicable local price before payment; in Spain, the current price is €7.99. Unlimited includes unlimited document records and private folders, marked copies, advance expiry reminders, personal iCloud sync and backup, reusable document kits and Home Screen widgets. Smart extraction requires a supported iPhone with Apple Intelligence enabled and ready.
Free and Unlimited in versions 1.3.2 to 1.3.4
Starting with Amano 1.3.2, a new or empty vault receives a free allowance of five document records and two private folders. If your vault already contains document records when first opened in version 1.3.2, it receives a ten-document free allowance instead. This allowance is saved for that vault; the free folder allowance remains two. These limits do not restrict an active Unlimited purchase.
A document with multiple pages or attachments counts as one record. Archived documents count toward the document limit; Recently Deleted documents do not count toward the active limit. Free access includes local storage, scanning and import, PDF merging, signatures, expiry dates, your contact card and QR code, Face ID protection and widgets. Advance expiry reminders require Unlimited.
In versions 1.3.2 to 1.3.4, Amano Unlimited was a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocked unlimited document records and private folders, subfolders and color labels, iCloud sync and backup, shared family folders, advance expiry reminders, reusable document packs, watermarked PDF and image copies, and Lock Screen Event mode. There is no subscription or recurring fee for this purchase. “Unlimited” removes the app’s document and folder count limits; storage remains subject to the capacity of your device and, when used, your iCloud account.
The purchase covers the Unlimited features described at checkout. It does not include additional iCloud storage or a guarantee of indefinite third-party cloud-service availability.
Contact cards and copies
Amano 1.3.5 removes the contact card and Lock Screen Event mode; the app deletes any saved card from the device when it first opens after the update. In versions up to 1.3.4, creating and sharing your contact card is free and Event mode requires Unlimited. Only include information you intend to share. Shared contact files and copies saved by recipients cannot be recalled.
Watermarks indicate the intended use of exported copies. They are not access controls and cannot prevent copying, editing or removal. Watermarked copies are generated separately; your originals remain unchanged.
Payment, restoration and refunds
The App Store displays the applicable local price before you confirm payment and charges your Apple Account. Amano checks the purchase on your device with Apple’s StoreKit to unlock access. Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that made the purchase to recover the entitlement; restoring a purchase does not restore document files.
Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled through Apple’s refund process. Eligibility depends on the circumstances and applicable law. A refunded or revoked purchase may remove Unlimited access. Nothing here excludes your statutory cancellation, refund or conformity rights.
Your documents and responsibilities
You retain rights to your documents. Only store or share material you are entitled to use, including documents belonging to another person. Exporting a document sends a copy to your chosen recipient or service; Amano cannot recall those copies.
Amano is an organizational tool, not an official identity credential, certified archive or source of legal advice. A scan may not replace an original document. Check extracted text and dates yourself, and do not rely solely on expiry reminders for important deadlines.
Storage and backups
The private vault is stored encrypted on your device. Unlimited includes optional personal iCloud sync and backup for your private vault through Apple’s CloudKit. These features depend on your Apple Account, available iCloud storage, connectivity and Apple’s services. Keep independent copies of important originals; a purchase restore is not a document backup or recovery operation.
Recently Deleted remains recoverable and does not automatically erase documents. Deleting local records does not remove separate source files, exported copies or old iCloud backups. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
Availability and changes
Features may depend on compatible Apple hardware, iOS versions, permissions and third-party services. We may update the app to improve it or meet technical and legal requirements. Any changes remain subject to applicable consumer law and rights relating to your purchase. Future terms will show a revised effective date and material changes will be communicated where required.
